Does anyone know the name of the firm of attorneys that do not charge unless the case is won?
I am looking to sue my storage facility in New Jersey over incorrect charges. Does anyone know the name of the firm of attorneys that are sometimes advertised on TV & Radio that do not collect any money unless the case is won? Any constructive thoughts and/or advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
For a case this small you’re not going to find an attorney who will do it on contingency. It’ll be tough to find an attorney who will do it at all since it’s really for small claims court. How much money are we talking here?

There are hundreds of them. But very few that do cases like this.
You would be much better off in small claims court.

Those are called contingency cases, they only take them if they stand to make a good deal of money off the case. In this scenario, that’s not bloody likely.

It’s not a matter of finding the firm with the right name. It’s more a matter of the type of case you are bringing to them.
Generally, if you have a tort case (for example, negligence), the plaintiffs’ attorney would be allowed to charge a contingent fee, i.e. a fee based on the amount of the eventual recovery. It’s common for tort lawyers to take 1/3 of the settlement or judgment as their fees.
If you have almost any other kind of case besides a tort case, you typically have to pay by the hour unless special arrangements are made, and the attorney cannot charge a contingent fee according to the rules of the bar.
Your case about incorrect charges would ultimately be a contract dispute, not a tort. So it is probably against the rules for the law firm or attorney to charge a contingent fee.
Your best hope is to find an attorney willing to have a first meeting with you without charging for that one meeting. Many law firms do this.
A more important question here is whether your case would have a sufficient amount in controversy to be worth a law firm’s time. A dispute with a storage facility would probably in the hundreds or at most a few thousand dollars. Attorney fees would burn up the amount of your potential recovery in just a few hours.
You might try small claims court in your local jurisdiction, without hiring an attorney. Or try the Better Business Bureau in the district in NJ in which the facility is located.

You do realise no win no fee lawyers charge almost all of the win in fees if they win and you get almost nothing
